Voodoo Skulls from Willie Marlowe

"Voodoo Skulls", acrylic on paper, 4.50 x 5.25 inches in was also shown in A BOOK ABOUT DEATH: Seattle at the Quetzalcoatl Gallery and included in a book by  artist and gallerist, Almendra Sandoval.  The original ABAD
was ignited and curated by Matthew Rose.  "Voodoo Skulls" was inspired by the Voodoo Museum in New Orleans and by photographs from Haiti and Africa. The painting is part of a series on veves, initiations symbols and houses.  Many of the paintings were shown in a solo show in Hudson, NY in 2011.  www.williemarlowe.com
